Today it's 20 years since the fall of the communist regime in Czechoslovakia. Well done, we are going to celebrate today here - despite of attack of malign virus of flu which we have cought last Friday. My hubby and me are in bed strongless, with whooping and neverending cough but HAPPY, because of the Velvet revolution 20 years ago. It doesn¨t matter where you live, please celebrate with us, the FREEDOM and LIBERTY is the most important thing for living, everywhere.
Hug you all

Hello folks,
so I saw "9", just yesterday night, thrilled! I fell in love with that creatures, no doubt. The story is warning, very strongly up-to-date, the graphic stunning and imaginative, together with great music = good movie!

But, on the very special place...is...Elijah´s voice..the colour and sound of his voice brings me down everytime...Oh, how much I MISS him on the big screen...unbelievable hurting...
His the very first word.."friend?" and "are we alone?" made me crazy IMMEDIATELY !!!

And...the second remark...a Lot of things from movie evoked me The Lord of the Ring movie. And you?

All of my - this year´s - vacations were fantastic. Last week we spent rush 6 days in the middle of protected landscape area called Czech Canada (because of a lot of ponds, forrest and rocks). The weather was good for hiking, so we walk more than 60 km, took more than 90 photos and we were sleeping more than 10 hours a day. Doesn´t it sound as a dream? YES!

Hello to all of my friends!

I do not dissapear as you can think...but being so busy (at work, at home, in the cottage), and just now heading to spend very last week of my vacation! Wow! This year I had have quite good vacations (Kaprun/Alpen/Austria. Leipzig, our cottage and now region called "Czech Canada")
Czech Canada is beautiful bordeland countryside alongside Austria, with amount cute villages, ponds and lakes, surrounded by deep forrest with a lot of rock formations. We found cozy family hotel there, bought tourists hiking maps and tomorrow we are leaving Prague for Czech Canada week.

So have a nice week and let me know (by your post) if something great happens.

Hello to all,

my vacation passed so quickly and in very relaxing style (thanksgod) so my return to work was more than only one and big shock...
Tons of letters and other work in job, at home big mess, son´s returning from 3 week long trip to Norway, Sweeden and Finland (they drove more than 8000 kms) - he took one thousands of beautiful (NZ style) pics !!! I am going to share with some of them, lately.
Yesterday night I watched my beloved movie with Elijah - Bumblebee flies, anyway. Have you ever seen this lovely story with angelic Elijah? You should see it. Really touching story with great music.
And this morning this pic, cover of "h" magazine:

which is almost killing me!!!

Thanks girls from Always&Forever site-there is this lovely lovely interview, as you can see (read carefuly)why I am so happy...and as Gogol Bordello will have a gig before Christmas at Prague, I have very real hope...

The interview is here:
Elijah Wood shooting with the Lomo LC-A+
written by alexandrak on August 10th, 2009
What can we say to introduce Elijah Wood? To get him familiar with a new friend, the Lomo LC-A+ we made him our newest amigo. He answered a few questions about what’s coming up for him as well as where he took the photos in his gallery. Check it out!
REAL NAME: Elijah Wood
CITY: Los Angeles
COUNTRY: USA

How long have you been a Lomographer (or are you new to this whole thing)?
EW: I’ve been shooting with Lomo cameras for about 8 years. The LC-A was the first Lomo camera that I shot with and I have been a fan ever since.

Describe the LC-A+ in five words.
EW: Simple. Durable. Mysterious. Surprising. Rewarding.

The strangest, funniest, or hands-down greatest photographic/Lomographic encounter that you have ever had.
EW: One of my favorite series of photos that I took were from an off-road trip I took in Baja, California a couple years ago. The terrain we drove through went from dusty desert to alpine mountains in the span of hours, which was incredible. The camera I was using had minor imperfections that made the results some of my favorite photos that I’ve taken. Fun trip as well.

If your photos shown here could have a soundtrack of three songs, what would they be (song title & artist please).
EW: Going Up The Country – Kitty, Daisy & Lewis
Don’t Let It Rain – Doris
In Time – Pentangle

If you could take your LC-A+ and a sack of film anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
EW: There are many places that I’d love to take the camera and a bag of film; on a road trip across the US, Prague, New Zealand. At the top of my list at the moment would be Japan and in particular the metropolis of Tokyo. I love that city and I’m constantly reaching for a camera whilst walking through it’s mad streets.

The one person (living or deceased) who you would most like to photograph.
EW: Jazz musicians in NY during the latter part of the 50’s. I’ve always loved the black and white imagery capturing that world during the growth of Jazz in our country. (That’s a difficult question, as my answer could change with the wind.)

Sorry, but we can’t resist… the LC-A+ is of course precious to Lomographers around the world. What are the most precious things in your life (besides your new LC-A+, of course)?

EW: My family and friends. Music collection. Collected memories.

Your gallery is really amazing, and we thank you for sharing such intimate photos with us. Tell us a little about where you were when you shot, and what’s the story behind the photos?
EW: Most of these photos were taken in Vermont in the North East Kingdom during a recent vacation with friends as well as time in Burlington with my girlfriend and Gogol Bordello. Quite a few of the photos chronicle my first experience with the game Stump, a game of hammering your opponents nails into a stump after first flipping the hammer and catching it. Brilliant. DJing with Jason Cooley at The Radiator; a shoot with my friend Shirley (easily one of the most photographable people I know); driving through the Vermont countryside with James; visiting Joe on the farm; jam session in a cabin by the lake; walking with James, Missy and Heloise; pizza; Bread & Puppets.

What’s on the horizon, Elijah? We’d love to know about any current or future project, film, adventure, or cause that has you buzzing.
EW: There is an excellent and unique animated film that I’m a part of, called 9 that will be coming out on September 9th. Working on various other things at the moment, from developing projects to produce and continuing to flesh out Simian Records. Also, simply enjoying the summer and ready to work on more new barbecue skills!

Your advice to future LC-A+ shooters.
EW: Don’t think too much. The camera kind of has a mind of it’s own and it’s happy accidents are often the best results. What’s great about the camera is how you can often be quite flippant with how you shoot and have surprising results.

(the whole article, including Elijah´s photos you can find here:

Hello to all,

I would like to let you all know how we spent last Saturday. As many of you knew we were going to celebrate b-days (my bro, my sis-in law and mine). So, 17 people (members of our family) came to our cottage to having barbecue party with a lot of vegetable,meat-sausages and chops. We prepare everything but the waether demaged almost everything - was very cold (13°C, heavy rainy and windy). But therefore we had a lot of fun, especialy for wearing some very special covers of heads - see the picies:

my son in wig - ve couldn´t recognize him!!

me at the same wig

and
me in funny bathing-cap

On Tuesday my hubby and we celebrated 3 rd Anniversary from our wedding, went out for having yummy dinner with wine and icecream. And next 14 days we will spend our vacation at our lovely cottage (in better weather as we hope!), I am looking forward to work in our lovely gardens!

Hello to all,

I have to post just a little note as my days are so rush, as you can consider:
- on Friday morning we left for Leipzig/Germany (Pet Shop Boys gig - the best I have seen ever)

- in the night back to Prague (we arrived at 4 o´clock early morning), only 5 hours of sleeping(not enough for me)
- on Satrurday, the same day of coming back from Leipzig, at 3 o´clock p.m. meeting with Melyanna !!! and her parents and friends. Very fozy and hot weather. We walk through Lesser Town and Kampa island how Melyanna wished to go there. It was really great time, but I felt dead after sleeping only 5 hours...

- we said goodbye to each other at 6.30 and we went to home relaxing a little bit
- at 7.30 we left home again, for the wedding party of my former english teacher and my friend!!!

- and we didn´t relax on Sunday again as we had to go to help to my parents to our cottage!!

Uf uf uf - very demanding but EXCELLENT days! Melyanna leaves today Prague for Rome so I am soo looking forward to her report and picies!
Have a nice time!

I was breathless, shivering and very touched (yes, in tears). As my english is not perfect, let me describe the last night by words of professional journalists (taken from Howard Shore website):

". . . flawless . . . breathtaking . . . a real sonic spectacle . . ." - Michael Tumelty, The Herald, Glasgow UK

"complex, ingeniously evocative work. . ." - Zachary Lewis, The Plain Dealer

"Among the highlights of the six-movement [The Lord of the Rings Symphony] was 'The Prophecy,' featuring a lonely ney flute that evoked the other-worldliness of 5,000-year-old Middle-earth. The chorus swelled and climbed with urgent excitement in 'Concerning Hobbits,' and a solo fiddle added effervescence to 'The Shadow of the Past.' Heavy percussive drive on 'The Bridge of Khazad-dum' sweepingly suggested a history of classic cinema spectaculars. Emotional interludes included 'Hope and Memory' and 'The Riders of Rohan'; 'A Knife in the Dark' pulsated with 'Carmina Burana' excitement." - Variety

Mara, I am envious you have this great night ahead you...!!!

Hello my dear friends!
On Thursday evening I am going to see and listen Howard Shore LOTR Symphony!!! I have already had the tickets from last Christmas, and I really can´t wait to see this fantastic performance!!! This poster

makes me cry everytime I see it so I can imagine how sobbing I will be at the concert...

Howard Shore won´t conduct this performance but his invitation is very impressive:
http://festival.cz/articles/69-howard-shore-vas-zve-na-prazske-jaro

The concert will take place in the Prague Congress centre (the largest hall in Prague, with almost 3000 seats, and is sold out of course).
I am so so so looking forward and next week I let you know how it went.

Bye, love you all
